Do you feel lonely? Maybe you’re a little burned out… overwhelmed… sad… disappointed… eager for a change?
The thrilling truth? Someone wants to spend Christmas with you- and you needn’t dust or scrub your home in preparation. (Relief!)
His name is Immanuel, God with us…
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, ESV)
The world tells us that Christmas is about gifts, parties, meals and happy-go-lucky families gathered around a crackling fire.
I’m calling their bluff. Guess what? You don’t need to buy one. single. thing. in order to celebrate a meaningful Christmas season. You only need to enter into an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:16-17, ESV)
This Christmas, find rest in the One who is full of grace and truth. Grace… from the Greek word Charis, meaning unmerited favor and “that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness”. (source)
I want to spend time with the One source of true joy. I will spend time with Jesus by spending time in the true Word of God. One of the most effective tools that I use to help me meditate on the Word of God (even during busy seasons) is to place Bible verse cards all around my home and read them as I go about my day. I’ve made a new free printable card (and art print) to help you do the same!
Immanuel, God with us… He is our thrill of Hope. Weary world, rejoice!

Merry Christmas, friend. Having you as a part of our Joy Community means so much to me. I pray these printables will help you to center on the true reason for the season.

Thank you so much for your encouraging messages and beautiful gifts. God is using you to restore joy that’s been lost in so many people’s lives.
Thank you for your note of encouragement. Our family is facing some issues because of the actions of another person. The focus this Christmas has been the reason for Christmas. All encouragement and hope is greatly needed right now.
